I am a little more experienced than a newbie, but I need help with s///. Here is my code:
The output of this code is: .parameter#!/usr/local/bin/perl use strict; my $a; $a = "$$NETOBJ.parameter"; $a =~ s/\$\$NETOBJ\.//; print $a;
I was expecting: parameter
Can someone tell me why the \ didn't escape the . ?
Thanks,
Tii
