Or you could use this one-liner from the Perl XML FAQ :-)
pyx talk.xml | sed -ne 's/^-//p' | ispell -l | sort -u
It doesn't gracefully deal with the parser generating text content events halfway through a word - but sed superjockeys could no-doubt fix that.
