Actually I have several unique keys, and I need to add to the value with each iteration. 
i.e.

foreach (@temp) {
    my ($instan, $value) = (split /\*/, $_);
    my $k = $key . ":" . $instan;
    $DM_D{$k} = ($value + $value);
}
