I think that it is good to have ActiveState work with Microsoft because it will encourage people to look at and work with Perl. Plus, it will allow Perl to bind tighter with the OS then it does now, allowing for more functionality. I think that as long as ActiveState remains it's own entity, and does the work that it wants to do, it will all be alright.
