I find this much more palatable in its entirety. It's a shame the www.wdvl.com web site didn't think to include forward and back references to the related pieces of the bigger article. Search engines can be dangerous in this way I guess.

Interesting that, despite our initial differences of opinion, we seem to reach the same basic conclusion: All of this has some dimension of suckiness.
