Oh god, what have we become? Last time I checked, emacs was a text editor.Wow, and I thought I was old. Silly rabbit, Emacs hasn't really been a text editor for a couple of decades. It's a Lisp-based operating system with a souped-up version of ReadLine built in. (Those aren't so much text editing buffers as really fancy TTYs...)
Just remember, the fight isn't vi vs. Emacs. It's Windows vs Emacs.
