I wrote an mdifference algorithim based on our discussion at 23496. Your help was appreciated. :) I also wrote a module to do mdifference quickly and XS-y. It's called the MDiff module--also mentioned at 23541.

I'd like to release the thing at CPAN, cuz I think it's really cool. In order to do so, you have to discuss it publicly (as I'm sure you're aware). I was thinking of of trying to upload it as Algorithim::MDiff.

Your input iff you please?

Newer stuff: Does this seem at all useful? What would make it useful? Are you just having a hard time thinking of a way to use it?

You could use it to make sure usernames are sufficiently different. A domain registry could make sure the domain names are sufficiently different. Hrmph. Maybe that one is dumb. :)
