Maybe your boss is non-analytical as well as being non-technical.
Non-technical types are often also non-analytical.
If your boss was only non-technical then you may need to do a better job
communicating with him, but if your boss is non-analytical there
is not much you can do.

Note: Non-analytical is a euphemism for stupid. ;)
