I voted it up. I think it is clear what you were looking for and I would also be interested in a interface to ssh. I haven't had the chance to look for any relevent modules.

Low context, high impact posts are the best kind!

If your using unix/linux and you don't know what ssh is, you should really check it out. It is a telnet, rcp, etc. replacement that encrypts the communication so your communications are not sent in clear text.
