I tried searching in the five most logical areas, at least to me. I tried the two search tools on top, I used my browser's find tool to search for a phrase from my post on the front page, I looked through the thread that I thought was the correct one, and I looked in my Message Inbox. I didn't even complain about the search tools being spread out.

The person who replied to me before you had a good quote at the bottom of his message. It says something like if you ask a foolish question, you'll be a fool for five minutes. If you don't, you'll be a fool for the rest of your life. Rating every one of my posts badly, regardless of the content or the thread, and continuing to berate me makes your point clear to me, and it even helps to depower me to the extent that it prevents me from achieving a rank that allows me to do stuff like front page people's nodes, but it could also make newbies who need help think that they will be treated the same way.

I request that I be demoted from Scribe to whatever the lowest rank is, permanently, if that's possible, to give the haters less of a reason to continue their attacks and hopefully make this forum a more hospitable place for people seeking help.
