Assuming the browser has hooks that allow you to query information like that (which I highly doubt are featured in IE or Navigator) it would certainly be possible (although you'd probably have to wade through the muck of finding which instance you want to grab, etc.)
In reality, though, I'm unaware of this existing for any browser. There may be a way to rig something up. I suppose if anyone knows it, it would be someone here.
