I use this little script to view table data in a development enviorment. I wouldn't recommend it in a production enviorment. It comes in handy for me, so I thought I'd share.
#!/usr/bin/perl -wT use strict; use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser); use CGI; use DBI; my $user = 'user'; my $pass = 'pass'; my $q = CGI->new(); my $db = $q->param('db') || 'store'; my $table = $q->param('table') || 'status'; my $dbh = DBI->connect("dbi:mysql:$db",$user,$pass) or die "Ca +n't connect to $db: ".DBI->errstr; my $sth = $dbh->prepare(qq! SELECT * FROM $table !); $sth->execute() or die "Can't select from $table: ".$sth->errstr; my @fld = map { "<b>$_</b>" } @{$sth->{NAME}}; my $ar = $sth->fetchall_arrayref(); unshift @{ $ar }, \@fld; $sth->finish(); $dbh->disconnect(); print $q->header('text/html'); print $q->start_html(-title=>'Print Table Contents',-bgcolor=>'White') +; print $q->div({-align=>'center'}, $q->h2("Table <font color=red>$table +</font> Contents") ) ; print $q->table( { -border=>'1', -align=>'center', -width=>'30%' }, $q->Tr( [ map { $q->td( $_ ) } @{$ar} ] ) ); print $q->end_html; exit;
