I am way over my head, my first time at network programing and the boss has set me one hell of a task, problem is i have started to have sucess which only fuels his need for more :(. My problem is this i have to create a chat server but what i need to do is not start it straight from a web browser nor can i telnet to the server, I need to start the server either via the chat client (which will be flash) or by a sepereate start/stop program that i can start from a web page, can anyone point me in the right direction for that.
