Right now I am using this: 

opendir DIR, "directory/";
my @files = grep { $_ ne '.' && $_ ne '..' } readdir DIR;
closedir DIR;

So I've excluded the '.' and '..'. But I'd also like to only get files with names like 'onlythese*.txt'
