Last year, I was fairly opposed to any kind of off topic section (jobs, non-perl, whatever).
Now, I would agree to a section marked "Off Topic",
where people can post whatever they want, classifieds, job ads, javascript questions, anything that doesn't fit into the current sections.
I am opposed to a specific "Classifieds" section, but not an Off-Topic section where basically anything goes.
Because there is no stopping the flurry of
(OT) I like perlmonks, how fix car software posts,
and a lot of monks don't care to merely delete all such posts, they need to go into their own section, off-topic.
I want a single section to discourage things from getting out of hand.
Posts are HTML formatted. Put <p> </p> tags around your paragraphs. Put <code> </code> tags around your code and data!
Titles consisting of a single word are discouraged, and in most cases are disallowed outright.
Read Where should I post X? if you're not absolutely sure you're posting in the right place.
Please read these before you post! —
