I have half a memory of seeing something written about using regular expressions to solve problems other than string parsing. Can anyone help me out with a link or two? I've searched and searched to no avail. Ideally, I'd like to see something else that uses a regex to prove or disprove assertions about the ordering of nodes in a tree, but anything non-stringy might be useful.
Thanks,
