First, I apologize for this node being 100% off-topic. However, in my hopes that perlmonks is a community, rather than merely a web site, I courageously continue my request.

Almost 20 years ago, PBS's "Great Performances" series showed a production of "The Comedy of Errors" (Shakespeare) at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre; the stars of the performance were the juggling-acrobatic troupe The Flying Karamazov Brothers. This performance was amazing. My family taped it. Alas, in the years since, the tape has gone missing. Perhaps it has been taped over.

In just under two weeks' time, I'll be visiting my girlfriend at Georgetown University in DC. She's a big Shakespeare fan. Columbus Day weekend coincides (well, misses by one day) an anniversary of ours. I'd like, as a gift, to watch this performance with her. It's funny, and it's Shakespeare. I can't go wrong!

One catch: it is nearly impossible to find this video anywhere. The contract for its broadcast was: show it once live, and then once more the following week, and then never again. "Never again" sucks. I desperately want to get my hands on a copy of this broadcast. I can't find it at the PBS web site. It's not on eBay. Currently, my only hope is a man named Josh who started a campaign to redistribute the production. But I don't know how much time I'll have to follow that course.

Therefore, monks, I implore you. Do you have (or know someone who has) a copy of this production on VHS (or ported to DVD)? If so, I would be more than willing to pay for shipping to me (Albany, NY) and back to you. Or buy it from you. This would be a wonderful treat for both me and my girlfriend.

If you can help me out, please let me know. If this Josh thing works out, I'll post a reply here so that you won't need to worry about me. ;) Thanks for your time, monks. Keep evangelizing.
