Yes, there are dozens of class-generation modules on CPAN, and Class::MethodMaker is clearly one of the leading contenders; I'm personally fond of my Class::MakeMethods, which I forked off of the original MethodMaker.

I've assembled a list that tries to outline some of their similarities and differences between the Class::* modules. It's incomplete and out-of-date, but it's a starting point.

That writeup was inspired by the poop-group's comparison; I think comparative resources like this can be of great value and I hope they continue to be produced.
