Esteemed Monks,

Although this question is somewhat off-topic here I have decided to ask it after the response from web-hosting groups and forums seems inconclusive.

• Do you know of any vulnerabilities or instabilities that affect mod_perl/Apache systems?
• Several people (not monks!) have suggested I wait for mod_perl 2.0 to become stable. But nobody can tell me when that might be. Any suggestions?
• I have a major series of projects which is likely to run in development over approximately 2 years. Am I going to face problems down the road if I stick with mod_perl 1?

Any other opinions or suggetions would be welcomed. I have done a little with mod_perl 1 but only now am I about to delve deeply into mod_perl at all.
