Hello,

I have a web application written in PERL (obviously) backed by a DB2 database. I want to explore the possibility of of extending the application so Japanese characters can be used in user entry and then displayed in the application

I know nothing about Japanese or Unicode. Can anyone recommend a good place to start? Are there particular CPAN modules I need? Is this kind of modification likely to be trivial or require extensive work?
