To reiterate points that have already been made against a Jobs section on Perlmonks - I wouldn't want such a section, as I read and follow Perlmonks at work from time to time - and while I'm a contractor, I wouldn't want my employers to think that I'm browsing for better offers on their time.
On the other side, if there is money to be made for Perlmonks from such offers, I would think that maybe banning job offers into a section I could turn off from my preferences (at least while I'm at work somewhere) would be cool - but on the other side, I question the value of such "hot job offers" that get spammed all over the place. If somebody takes the time to register and even maybe become a (hopefully good) name here, that gets my respect, but Anonymous Monks posting unformatted blurbs as job offers ...
