Here are two different wordings for one problem... I have a question regarding how web pages are updated when updates are required every 5 minutes. Is the data to be uploaded transferred from the remote location and stored on the server or does the server act more like a pointer? or let us say that a file containing data exists on my home computer. Can i program a PHP web page that will access that file and show its contents on my webpage in "real-time"?
