Hello my fellow Monks and Monkettes,

I have been unable, as of late, to contribute much to this community which I love. Hacking for werk has been the primary masticator of my time-so-precious =). In my absence, I may have missed some announcements so please kindly direct me if you are aware.

Are PerlMonks T-shirts available yet? Where can I buy.com?

Is there a special mechanism for voting down particularly heinous posts repeatedly? This could be uberuseful for efficiently extricating pyrotechnic martial combat as well as the unkosher wieldings of the spam-equipped advertisers and headhunters who have no place in our peace-full gardens of PerlJoy(tm).

I must concur that the PerlMonks Dojo idea is a tremendously werthwhile consideration. Deuling grounds and craft-war threads where the damage can be localized and the associated ill-effects contained. Maybe a certain -- threshold queues a thread for review by moderators as "Dojo-fodder"... hmmm. I hope to have more time to spend here soon. TTFN my friends.

p.p.s. merlyn isn't all bad. (obligatory link so that he'll vote me up hehe) Actually Christiansen seems to generally ignore him rather than engage... Monks who are offended by him here might do well to do the same. I personally don't appreciate many of his posts but it is readily apparent that any AntiMonk fanclub doesn't belong immediately among us. Please think about why so many people frequent this place and why you're here specifically. There is hope. There's always hope... sometimes there's only hope. =)
