While composing Re: Re: ISO 8583 I realised that there are some link shortcuts missing from the Monastery, namely who://, what://, when:// and where://.

• [who://Damian Conway] would create the link http://www.googlism.com/index.htm?ism=Damian+Conway&type=1

• [what://ISO 8583] would create the link http://googlism.com/index.htm?ism=ISO+8583&type=2

• [where://Perl Conference] would create the link http://googlism.com/index.htm?ism=Perl+Conference&type=3

• [when://End of the Universe] would create the link http://googlism.com/index.htm?ism=End+of+the+Universe&type=4

It may not be as accurate as what [jargon://] may give you, but it is definitely more up to date and definitely more fun.

Update:
After doing some testing on Googlism, I'd have to agree with sauoq and tye. At one point in the past, I was sure it was doing different things for different type of queries. It doesn't seem to do that anymore. So I guess a [googlism://] without type parameter would be best. If anyone would take the trouble of implementing this, of course ;-)

Actually, I like Aristotle's suggestion for [ism://] even better.
