This has certainly been asked before, and it will undoubtedly be asked again. Maybe it should be in the Q&A. However, none of the answers I have been able to find have borne fruit.

I need to be able to access https:// URLs from LWP, using ActiveState perl on a Win32 box. http://ppm.activestate.com/BuildStatus/5.8-C.html suggests that Crypt-SSLeay is available, but ppm search ssl doesn't find anything of the kind.

Searching here at PM, I found a suggestion for another repository that just brought up a blank page for me.

Somebody toss me a clue. I'm fresh out.
