Probably just somebody's bot screwing around.

Maybe perlmonks will need to add a GD-Generated graphics verification file, to do a "Human Test" similar to Ticketmaster, Hotmail, etc.

A quick search on CPAN didn't turn anything up... This would be a good idea for a perl module. There's one written in PHP here.
