Another option is namespace munging: 
  package Ivy; # in Ivy.pm
  
  { 
    no strict 'refs';
    *{"Xxx::Ivy::"} = *{"Ivy::"};
  }

That should handle most exporting and inheritance issues by making the two packages equivalent...
