I'm wondering if anyone has taken a look at the (experimental) assertions available in perl5.9.0 (see http://search.cpan.org/perldoc/assertions and the -A switch in http://search.cpan.org/src/HVDS/perl-5.9.0/pod/perlrun.pod).

The documentation is a little sparse; probably more needs to be added in the section in perlrun and a tutorial would be good (perlasstut??). Does anyone else have reactions? (Update: assertions should also be mentioned in perldebtut)
