I was unaware that GD.pm includes libgd in it's distribution, as that also isn't clear from Lincoln's README file. Or is this just for Win32 distributions?No it doesn't (it's too big).
and install via PPM. However, that wasn't clear from your post.That's the idea ( A guide to installing modules demonstrates that strategy). I didn't get the impression the OP wanted libgd, he just wanted the perl interface to work, and the path of least resistance is ppm.
