Thanks to the wonderful help and insight I've received here, I've been able to write and submit a module to CPAN. The module is Win32::SystemInfo, which I posted earlier. I received great feedback on it and its predecessor. Not only that, but I got some good last minute feedback about how to post it to CPAN.
In the month and a half that I've been here I've learned more than I had in the previous 3 years that I was slapping together Perl scripts. Not only that, but my hair's shinier, and my eyebrows have grown back. :)
Seriously, though, this place has been a wonderful resource. Thanks!
