I am not sure wether I am odd, or have a resally odd sense
of what is important...
I have very well structutres on my computer. Everything in
a logic place (and naturally logical tar.gz backups on another
machine).
For some reason this has not had any affect on my real life
at all. My room is aproximately 4x4 meters. It takes about
45 seconds to move from one end to the other, if one values
his life.
And then there are parents (Yes... you have them too.) They
do like to keep it clean, but for some reason the structure
in their computers is a catastrophic blend of chaos, mayhem
and generally rising entrophy.
What happens in ten years? Will I say to my children:
Didn't I tell you to clear out the tmp-library?! And
your home is a mess! And do something about that homepage!
You will never get a job with a page like that!
Well... It's just speculations, but I fear the computer
nerds will torture their children as bad as our parents
did. Just in a slightly different way. Oh well...
