Move all of your lexicals into your object and write code like: 

sub generate {
    my( $self )= @_;
    goto $self->{GOTO}   if  $self->{GOTO};
    ...
        $self->{GOTO}= 'gnarfle';
        return ...; gnarfle:
    ...
}
