i understand the problem lies in Module::Build, but that one installed fine: 
flex# perl -MCPAN -e 'install Module::Build' 
CPAN: Storable loaded ok

  Database was generated on Wed, 11 Feb 2004 20:50:19 GMT
Module::Build is up to date.
