I have divided my application into three logical parts, thus, I've got three scripts handling the tasks. One of them is pool of worker processes, each existing in two flavours (ssl-enabled and vanilla).
While such setup makes quite interesting scenarios possible (I can upgrade one of 3parts of the system on-the-fly, easily change configuration etc), handling 3 dependend on each-other apps is becoming a headache. To start the system I must start all three apps.. in early versions I had to do that in specific order...
I looked at POE, but it makes you re-design your whole app around it, and for my needs I'd have to recreate some of basic POE components to suit my app. After few hours of scanning through POE docs I'm begginng to think that it's more of cool-idea then working system.
So in spirit of TMTOWDI, what are alternatives for handling such constructs?
