About my linux installation, there is something else :
I needed to install it on a new DELL laptop. I am not specialist in such things (I am not only a beginner in PERL but altought in Linux) and it was quiet special, I had to download and to run some new kernel stuff (http://ltswww.epfl.ch/~dsanta/resources/dell-i8500-linux).
No idea if it might be linked to my problem or not...
Where can I find perl source ? Do I need to uninstall the already installed perl I have ?
