My version of TexPad (version 4) came bundled with the perl syntax file. If yours doesn't have it, it's also available for download from their site. TextPad is simply the best general purpose text-editor for Windows that I've ever seen. For specialzied purposes this is not true (example: Homesite is much better for HTML).
