BIBO is the name of my favorite alarm clock (if there could ever be such a thing).

Archie McPhee sells them, and the prose describing bibo's origins are almost better than the hideous noise it makes. My real name is bill, and I have used bilbo in various incarnations as a name for years. Then I decided I needed to make a change, and it's only one letter different! Easy to remember when it's 4:30AM and sleep seems so far away...

and it's only 4 letters, and since I'm also a C programmer it seems appropriate. Like the quote about how a C programmer would spell "terse" trs
