Looking at the Reviews section, and having seen a node MacPerl???, I thought it might be useful, especially for beginners, to have a review section for binary distributions of Perl (be it for Mac, Windows, Linux or whatever).
For example: I know of (at least) two different distributions for Win systems: And there is of course http://www.perl.com/CPAN/ports which also lists others.

But in what features do those distributions differ?
How are they documented?
Are they easy to install?
What modules are included and how do you install other modules if you need them?
Are there special problems with a single distribution?
etc.

Would be quite interesting to know, and let new users chose a distribution that suites their needs best.
