[replying to several up-nodes]

...you are a touch fresh here to join pmdev just yet. You have to understand that the PM code in some areas is a bit of a mess. Its not always clear that everything that should be locked away and secured properly has been so we are somewhat reluctant to let folks join without a proven track record. This shouldnt be seen a reflection on yourself of course, but the fact is we have to be conservative with things for obvious reasons.

So would I do as you!. It's true that my writeups are the only available elements you may consider and my XP more or less reflects my perl level (aren't we here to improve?). I may also perhaps have more talked about myself on my homenode.

...if someone wants to join pmdev, then I think they'd do good to grab a copy of Everything and get a feel for how it works, which doesn't require even a single PM XP.

So do I!

May I point an another area of the monastery where we would very much appreciate your efforts but wouldnt have to wait? If you were willing to help translate the site docs into french it would be much appreciated. We have portuguese but no french (or russian or spanish or ....).

As I said in my initial post, I would really enjoy to contribute to the edifice itself and if perl is the raw material of monastery walls, no doubt that a touch of french paint on it could be great :-).

I apply for the job.

NB: you should be aware that my french writing are not known for their language level quality (I'm only a programmer), but:
