Could you provide the two sequences you are diffing? It's important to remember how A::D works -- given two sequences, it finds the minimum number of insertions and deletions (not translations!) to turn one into the other. For such a small sequence, you should be able to write the two aligned sequences down as you think they should appear, then compute the edit cost by hand.
