It sounds to me like PrincePawn would like a Preview button when replying to nodes while you are talking about whether or not you get the New button when posting a root node to most sections.

I'd also like a preview button as can be seen in the first part of my signature which is normally deleted shortly after I post a node:

Note: This node is still being previewed and so is subject to change and probably contains tons of mistakes. I apologize for my need to preview nodes even when there is no "Preview" button. Please check back in a minute or two (I don't do this type of preview until the end of the node composition process). Thank you.

I suspect this is not a trivial amount of work based on how the current Preview buttons behave (taking you to a special node owned by vroom).

Update: It looks like you can now preview many/most replies. Thanks to chromatic for the update above. Thanks to vroom for the quick work (again)!
