Brasil-PM is organizing the 1st Brazilian Perl Users Meeting, in Oct 18-20, 2004. The meeting will take place during the "2a Semana de Software Livre do Rio de Janeiro", under the theme "Client x Server", which is coordinated by Universidade do Rio de Janeiro (UniRio).

There will be sessions on:
- Data Base Management with Perl
- Administration of Servers and Computer Networks with Perl
- Perl and Information Security
- Perl in Bioinformatics

There will also be a mini-course, a round table, PM social and technical meetings, and maybe a JAPH workshop.

1o Encontro Brasileiro de Usuários Perl, organizado pelo Brasil Perl Mongers. Datas: 18, 19 e 20 de outubro.

O evento fará parte da 2a Semana de Software Livre do Rio de Janeiro e estará incluído do Macro tema da Universidade do Rio de Janeiro (UniRio) "Cliente x Servidor".

Serão apresentadas palestras sobre os seguintes temas:
- Gerenciamento de Bando de Dados com Perl.
- Administração de Servidores e Redes de Computadores com Perl.
- Perl e a Segurança das Informações
- Perl na Bioinformática

Serão realizados um mini-curso, uma mesa redonda, encontro social PM, encontro técnico PM, e um workshop sobre JAPH.
