Where I'm from (North Carolina), we call Pepsi and all other such drinks "Coke" generically. It can be called a "Soft Drink" in most of NC too ... probably because those areas were close to the origin of Pepsi Co (the arch nemesis of "Coke")


"What are you having?"
"I want a coke!"
"Is Pepsi allright?"
"Sure!"
