I don't know... Maybe that I am dreaming too much, but that discussion section is here for the dreams also, isn't it?
1. Perlmonks Logo: well, it does not look like there is a real Perlmonks logo out there. Yes, I have seen the t-shirts with the monks on them, but is that really a logo? Shall we just "extract" one monk from the t-shirt? If the answer to this question is "probably not", then why don't we ask the monks to show their creativity and artistic talent (or their fluency with Gimp or Photoshop :-) to come up with a beautiful logo? I think I would use that logo quite a lot, and it would allow me to recognize very fast the websites that are "PM friendly". This logo, I think, should refer somehow to Perl, the Camel, or something obvious - not just a Monk sitting and smoking crack.
2. Polling/Voting System: in the past, I have seen so many posts that have a question requiring a Yes/No answer, or a question where it would be nice to know what percentage of the monks in the monastery think like you. Because of that, wouldn't it be nice to have the option of using a polling system, just like the one that vroom manages on the right of the screen? It's just an idea. It could be actually managed by vroom HIM->self to avoid abuse, but the idea is to have a more "democratic" system before taking the decision of changing something or implementing a new feature, or simply for curiosity.
Let me know what you think.
