HTML::Template's TMPL_LOOP structures is a good one, thanks. I had not really thought of that one, even though I use HTML::Template all the time.

I was thinking about writing some Visitors for reading trees out of databases too, but I doubt I will have enough time to really do that before my next project starts.

BTW - I like the new sig.
