"Email this page" functionality can be a major security headache. It can be easily easily abused by spammers or folks wanting to DOS the mail system of a remote host.
In the case of perlmonks, it's even more dangerous since anyone can make a node with any contents they want.
If your main goal is noting nodes that you want to remember later, then I suggest creating an account for yourself, and taking advantage of the "Personal Nodelet" ("bookmarking" nodes is exactly what that's for)
