Shlomi Fish, the author of the Freshmeat article, is a long time critic of everything in the world of Perl. Previous topics which garnered discussion and critique from this author include Perl documentation and Perl 5 development efforts, the latter of which was manifest in a discussion of "Rindolf", a proposed language branched from Perl 5 which the article author sought to develop.

My thoughts - Take everything with a large dose of salt.
