Since you don't say it directly, the only difference I see in the two definition of morals vs. ethics is, that moral is supposed to be in reference to an (implicit) set of "right" and "wrong" things, where ethics doesn't imply that reference system.

So for my understanding: Is the difference that a person acts moral if it follows the ethics attributed to the role the person is supposed to play in the society to which the ethics belong?

Your link doesn't say anything on the definition of either ethics or morals, you just belate the fact that many people use the two terms as synonyms. The phrase

also hints to me, that if I were to read it closer, I wouldn't find much more there than some vague hints at a definition. The one-line quips offered from others don't really add to the discussion, and I would have preferred a direct link to, say, the end of the thread, where somebody seems to find a verbalization of the difference that you can agree with.
