There are three or four such attempts at nailing down the differences between the two in that discussion that are relevant and contribute to an understanding of the implications of the terms, not just one. I apologize if you felt that a serious discussion/contemplation of the meanings of the terms was a waste of your time.
The difference ties into several facts. For instance, a moral sense can include a system of ethics. Likewise, a system of ethics has some of the characteristics of morality. The confusion between the terms arises in part because the meanings of the two terms intersect. They are not, however, anywhere near identical — just as two intersecting streets are not the same street. If you look for a house at 1162 North Bartleby Way by looking for it at 1162 North Seventheenth Street, when Seventeenth Street intersects Bartleby Way, you are going to end up at the wrong destination. The same is true of confusing morality and ethicality with each other.
To claim that the difference between two terms is irrelevant simply because you do not fully grasp the differences between them is counterproductive and, frankly, an exercise in ignorance. That's my major lamentation on the matter, and it's my point here.
A means of differentiating between the two is this: Recognize that morality is based on your metaphysical understanding of the world in which you live — essentially, on matters of faith — while ethicality is based on a reasoned consideration of the necessities of codes of conduct. Whereas morality is concerned with matters of Good and Evil, ethicality is concerned with matters of Rights and Responsibilities. Morality is concerned with judgment, and ethicality is concerned with standards.
