Hi,

We develop a web app that runs on mod_perl, Apache, and MySQL. We are getting inquires from customers about what hardware to get.

I think we should just say "our app response time is X secs with Y concurrent users on a ABCD machine with Z CPUs and W RAM". BUT that's not what customers want to hear, what they want to hear is something like "based on the size of your organization we recommend you to buy a machine with X RAM, Y CPUS, Z HD and we recommend this specific vendor".

How do you guys base your recommendations?
